About Us
The Olney Group (TOG) is a small, independent group of local people who truly value the town spirit of Olney. Our aim is simple: to bring the community together through much-loved events that support local causes.
Each year, we organise two key events – the Olney Raft Race (now RiverFest) and the Olney Fireworks – which have become firm fixtures in the town calendar. These events not only create memorable experiences but also raise important funds that we donate to a range of charities and community groups.
We’re a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. The ethos of TOG is “Support Unity in the Community”. That’s why we’re passionate about making our events as inclusive as possible, giving space for local charities, groups, and businesses to get involved alongside us.

Giving Back
to the Community
The Olney Group is proud to support a number of local and national charities each year. Funds are raised through the events we organise, with our much-loved annual Fireworks Night being the main fundraiser. Thanks to the generosity of the community and the success of this event, along with other ticketed activities, we’re able to donate vital funds to causes that make a real difference.
